The answer is: not much

Example 1: Amancio Ortega:  Richest Man in Europe from Spain

He dropped out of school at age 14

Example 2: Li Kashing:  Richest Man in Asia for past 10 years

He started as a refugee in Hong Kong. 

He dropped out of school at age 14 too

Example 3:  Zhou Qunfei, currently richest woman self-made billionaires in the world

She dopped out of school at age 16 to become a migrant worker at Shenzhen

He never went to high school.    He is the richest man in Sweden and one of the richest man in Europe

When he died in 2014, he was the richest German self-made billionaires

Conclusion: It does not take a lot of schooling to become a self-made billionaire.
