He was King of Wall Street from 1992 to 2012, average almost 60% return a year for his hedge fund S.A.C. Capital

 





He is also famous for his firm S.A.C. involvement with insider trading
One of his former trader Matthew Martoma , was imprisoned for profiting almost $1 Billion from insider information. 

 









Matthew Martoma was sentenced to 9 years imprisonment

S.A.C. Capital was fined $1.8 Billion , the largest fine in Wall Street History 

Also, S.A.C. Capital was shut down by the SEC (Security and Exchange Commission) 
From 2014 to 2017, Steven Cohen was only allowed to trade his own money.  He set up a new firm called Point72
